This 350ml mug celebrates Derry's favourite daughter - our very own Nadine Coyle.
Back in 2001 we followed Nadine's quest to win a place in Ireland's newest manufactured pop band on RTE's 'Popstars'. Nadine wowed the judges with her striking looks and strong vocal performances and seemed certain to be named as one of the band members in the final 'Six' line-up. However, controversy struck as it emerged that Nadine wasn't entirely truthful about her date of birth, telling a wee white lie, to meet the show's age requirements. What followed was one of the most memorable Irish TV moments in recent years..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6YbdW7BGIE
Thankfully, and unsurprisingly, Nadine recovered from this incident and moved on to bigger and better things when she rose to prominence on ITV's 'Pop Stars: The Rivals', ultimately being chosen as one of the 5 members of Girls Aloud - Britain's biggest girl band since the Spice Girls, before winning the nation's hearts on 'I'm a Celebrity'.
