Stunning handcrafted Irish whiskey barrel Harmonica holder beautifully presented in a natural hessian bag. Included is a small card with a brief story of the history of the barrel.
This harmonica holder is slim and sleek yet built strong from recycled whiskey barrel staves. The wood is carefully selected to showcase the stunning grain pattern, medullary rays (yellow lines), and unique whiskey stain which shows up as a darker shadow line in the oak. Solid brass is used in all the fittings. The neck bar is bent by using traditional steam-bending techniques, then sanded to a silky smooth finish and polished with my own polish.
I’ve created my own wood polish that is a blend of local beeswax (from a mate’s beehive) and Irish organic linseed oil. My wood polish intensifies the wood grain unlocking its warm rich colour, giving the wood back its wonderful depth. It also creates a protective moisture barrier which will keep your harmonica holder looking like new.
