With our signature blend of essential oils and butters, you can be sure this is a wonderful treat for your armpits.
Shea butter
Shea Butter restores the barrier between your skin and the outside environment. It holds essential moisture in. It has significant levels of vitamins A and E, which means it promotes strong antioxidant activity. Shea butter is also wonderful at fighting skin infections caused by fungi. Sounds disgusting but your armpits are damp and dark, making the perfect environment for this type of bacteria to grow.
Shea’s anti-inflammatory properties help soothe skin and relieve itching - making it a perfect choice for sensitive skin types
Mango Butter
Mango Butter contains several vitamins that are known to benefit the skin. It is especially beneficial for moisturising dry skin.
Mangoes are packed with fibre, vitamins and minerals as well as potassium, calcium and folate. These are all skin-improving powers so it makes sense to use mango butter in skincare. We love Mango butter here and use it in our body butter too.
Coconut Oil
The lauric acid found in coconut oil can have antimicrobial properties, which can help kill bacteria on the skin and reduce inflammation. Coconut oil is wonderfully mild and perfect for cleansing and helping to keep moisture locked in.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba Oils properties aren't too dissimilar from the natural oils your skin produces. This helps to provide hydrating moisture that doesn't feel like a thick layer left on the skin. It works in tandem with the natural oils your skin produces. Jojoba oil is naturally an antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-fungal substance, and this makes it ideal for use on the skin under the arms.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E benefits your skin by protecting it from free radicals that can damage cells and lead to premature ageing.
Arrowroot Powder
Arrowroot absorbs oils/sebum beautifully and is also promotes natural healing as it penetrates the skin. It reduces odours, moisturises the skin and helps to eliminate toxins.
Magnesium Hydroxide
Magnesium Hydroxides main purpose in a natural deodorant is to counteract any odour-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin without impacting the dermis. This is the layer of skin where sweat glands, pores and hair follicles are contained.
Zinc Oxide
Zinc oxide is a topical skin product that is used as a protective coating for mild skin irritations and abrasions. We know that underarms can suffer due to shaving, overheating and general sweating so zinc oxide is a wonderful way to promote healing. Zinc oxide works as a mild astringent and has some antiseptic properties
We have spent months developing a deodorant balm that WORKS! With our Cedarwood & Rosemary Deodorant Balm, you can be sure that even the toughest armpits are tamed and loved.
I experience excessive sweating as a side effect from my fibromyalgia and medications so this was a personal mission for me. I am so proud that we use only natural ingredients and essential oils. There is no irritation at all! It's wonderful.
Remember that natural deodorant is not the same as an antiperspirant. This will not stop you from sweating. Instead, it will help to control the moisture and odour that comes from your underarms. You may need to detox from the nasty chemicals that have been in your deodorant. It took me a couple of days to detox.
DIRECTIONS
Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry underarms. Keep in mind that a detox period is common when transitioning to a non-antiperspirant deodorant. I have a blog post about this here.
