The Glens are an area of outstanding natural beauty and are a major tourist attraction in north Antrim. Shaped during the Ice Age by giant glaciers, Glenariff is often referred to as the ‘Queen of the Glens’. This formed as the result of meltwater from an ice cap which covered this area some 10,000 years ago. There are excellent walks through the forest as the river flows over several waterfalls.
